If even one account is compromised, that can lead to an attacker possibly gaining access to sensitive information. Some services we provide are only accessable via addresses in our local network. These services could help an attacker with a means to get more trusted access to our servers.
If this scenario were ever to play out, then your guessable or crackable password has may help the attacker crack dozens of accounts.
If that were not enough reason, if you'd like call us up and we can tell you horror stories of people who had guessable passwords (like their pet's name, for example) and had accounts compromised by malicious people who they thought they knew well.
